Preston So

Preston So

Preston has been designing exceptional websites since 2001 and specializes in accessibility and web standards. He has consulted for beautiful, usable sites in the region and operates a blog and design portfolio, Seraphic Zephyr, featured in design showcase Screenspire and an important voice for web standards in the region.

Preston began creating websites in the third grade at age nine. In 2004, at age twelve, Preston established an independent web design studio whose clients included the Pikes Peak Library District as well as area schools and personalities. His accessible designs were lauded for their aesthetic quality and presentation.

His consulting work includes assistance transferring a large high school website to a new content management framework in which educators could manage their own personal web presences. Preston consulted the school district in usability and accessibility. His advice was used to address several concerns related to users with disabilities.

Preston is heavily involved with the Drupal open-source content management project as a Drupal developer and the organizer of the Colorado Springs Drupal Meetup for users in southern Colorado.

Preston joined the Monarch Digital team in November 2007 and also works in video post-production and photo restoration. He is a sixteen-year-old junior in high school and in his spare time pursues his interests as a violinist, linguist, music composer, runner, and writer. He plans to attend college after graduating in the class of 2010.
